The Only ball-shaped toy she'll consider...

| Yup. Cats are picky creatures and every cat is "differently demanding". It appears that cat toys don't escape the pass/fail tests that everything else you hopefully plunk in front of them must endure. For every cat who won't waste two seconds of its cushy life to sniff around these glitter balls, there's another cat (mine) who won't touch any other kind of ball-shaped toy if it's not one of these glitter balls. She goes nuts for these things and they're actually quite hard to find in stores. We already know she's a physical anomaly (really long and fat), maybe it has carried over to toy preferences. Who knows? Cats. I think she enjoys these glitter balls because she can easily pick them up and jump up onto the bed or couch with them in her teeth. She can't do that with the harder balls or more solid toys. I think the glitter flashes a bit and it's easier for her to see. But I'm just guessing here. Things that amuse my cat don't seem to follow any particular pattern. Unless tuna juice is a pattern. |
