I followed the directions on how to remove a tick. Maybe the ticks on my cats are a bit more persistent than the other reviewers. When I went to remove the tick using the tick twister, it busted in the tool. The head remains in the cat, and all I can do is put some hydrogen peroxide on it and hope it comes out on its own. Go with the tick remover that looks like pliars. I have always been able to get a tick out, head and all. It can get a bit tricky positioning it right, which was why I wanted to try something new, but I'm going to go back to the pliars.
