I saw XXL and even compared the bowl (going by the measurements) to the bowl I currently have for my snake. It seemed big enough going by the measurements but the inside of the bowl is so small! (The walls are very thick so this is how it "seems" large.) It holds so little water it's almost pointless to have. My point was to get a bigger one than I had and this one is actually smaller. If you want something big, keep looking. I guess for a lizard, it would be fine. But if you want a snake to fit into it... they'll be able to fit just their head - use it as a drinking bowl.
