| If you compare these with the silver dome style lights these are so much better. They are ridiculously bright (don't make the mistake of looking at them dead on) and you can join three up on a single power outlet, they have long attachment cords so you can stretch them around your aquarium. They are made to be out of water only so you have to find some way to mount them. Personally I just use double sided tape between the lights on the front and stick them to the glass of my aquarium at various heights and on different sides. They use very little power, my bettas (females) love the light it gives, they like to huddle around it at night. The white one is definitely more for day use because of how bright it is, or surface of water level - and the blue one can be left on all the time, it gives a nice cast to the aquarium at night. I repeat - these are very bright so don't put them in a room where you'll have the light shining in on you when you're trying to sleep. But they are 100% worth it. | |
