It's never been this quiet
|
I have 2 Labs and a German Shorthair. They used to bark at the squirrels and rabbits from their pen. Then I moved in 2 little terrorists (terrier crosses) that needed a home for awhile (that was 5 month ago). One of them barked just to instogate a bark off with the Shorthair. The other isn't prone to being verbal.
I bought 2 of these the first one worked great, the big dogs are quiet, the verbal terrorist is almost quiet. The big dogs don't bark at anything anymore. Not even when I get home from work. Terriers apparently aren't the brightest bulbs, so he still tests the machines out. Not nearly as loud or as frequent as he used to be. Picked up the 2nd one because the pen is about 25ft square. I have it on the opposite side of the pen from the first at the low setting. The low setting covers 13ft, so the little barker gets its from both sides, unfortunately so do the big dogs.
I can't hear it, but it is quite evident that the big dogs can. And they don't like it. It quite evident that the litte barker can hear it also, he's just bull headed and not too bright. When he tries to bark now it's not at the top of his lungs or for very long.
