The leash fully extended and will no longer retract. It may be my fault - my dog is right at 50 pounds and he is a lunger (especially with squirrels) so perhaps I was pushing my luck with the size medium leash that is rated to 50 pounds. I thought about the size large leash (rated to 100 pounds) but that leash is only 6' long so it seems pointless to have a retractable at that length. Anyhow, I'm happy to say that the manufacturer completely stands behind their product and happily issued a refund or store credit. In closing, I highly recommend this leash IF your dog is more like 40 pounds or less and is not an aggressive lunger.   1     2   Non User
