Gluten free diets for cats -- I wish I knew about this earlier

| I've fed my cats the usual cat food that you'd find in the supermarket all their lives. Friskies, 9 Lives, etc., whatever was on sale. Now they're in their mid-teens, I've seen them slowly lose weight for years. A year ago I switched to this cat food and I just took one of my cats to the vet, and she gained 11 ounces from last year's checkup. I can't tell you how happy I am about that. Also, my other cat who has been acting lazy and tired for a while is now back to her old self. I know that more and more people are discovering that they can not eat glutens (wheat, rice, etc.) so it makes sense to me that cats shouldn't eat it either. When would a cat eat rice and wheat in the wild? So, I recommend this strongly to any pet owner. |
